A History of Lotusphere

My presentation at the ATLUG Day of Champions seeks to predict the future for Lotus/IBM Notes based upon trends observed for other computer-based technologies. In order to get a more complete picture I decided to research the history of Notes itself and the annual event we all best know as Lotusphere. The following slide deck contains a consolidation of the many images I was able to capture that helped me to better understand the significance of these events over the years and why so many people are passionate about attending.

The presentation is still very much a work in progress. If anybody has any material they would like to contribute, especially for those first few years please let me know. Also, if I have used somebody’s photos and they don’t want them included, also let me know.

  1. Eric Mack says:

Nice collection of slides, Peter. I enjoyed seeing our “Loyal Notes” user button from our 1995 campaign. We actually had both cc:Mail and Notes buttons for users straddling the fence. Reminds me of the current Notes MailMail NextConnections.

Best of success to you on your presentation.

  2. Peter Presnell says:

Thanks Eric. I believe I have a shot of both 1995 buttons in my files. If I can find a few more images from 95 I can convert that year to a full slide.
