Over the past 12 months Red Pill Now has continue to explore new and exciting ways in which we can exploit the potential of Graph Databases. The unique characteristics of Graph databases combined with REST APIs and the awesomeness that comes from Web Components and Material Design (via Polymer) is allowing us to transform Notes data in ways that was never possible until now. This includes modeling the structure of an entire portfolio of Notes databases, providing graph-based search for those databases as well as a user-configurable Web front-end to that data. A lot of the work we are doing with Graphs is being contributed back to the community via the OpenNTF Domino API (ODA).
Many of you who have attended major (Lotus) User group conferences over the past couple of years will have had the chance to hear presentations on Graph Databases and ODA from Red Pill Now’s Nathan T Freeman or Intec’s Paul Withers. This year at IBM Connect 2017 Red Pill Now is pleased to add a new voice to that list, Devin Olson. This session will provide Devin’s own unique slant on the topic of Graph databases as he shares the real world experience he has gained working with Graph Databases since starting at Red Pill Now last year. Devin will outline the theory behind Graph Databases for those who have not seen them before and explain why Graph has become the database tool of choice for processing Big Data by companies such as Microsoft, Google, FaceBook, and LinkedIn. Being a developer, Devin of course will be showing code and demonstrations of code in action. If you are going to be at Connect this week please join us for this exciting thought provoking session. It just might change your perception of the future for your Notes data.
