A Memorial for Tim Tripcony is planned for Friday (5/16) in the Woodstock area in which Tim lived. It is being held at Tuscany starting at 5PM for anyone in the Atlanta area (or beyond) that would like to attend. The event will be informal in keeping with Tim’s general approach to life. Tim’s parents have flown in from Colorado and will be present along with many of the people whose lives have been touched by Tim. A number of members of the community have indicated their intention to travel from interstate to attend. For those that are, please feel free to reach out to Nathan Freeman, Scott Hooks, or myself and we will try and help out in any way we can. For those unable to attend in person Scott Hooks has organized a Google Hangout for online participation. At some stage during the Memorial I believe Nathan Freeman will propose a toast in memory of Tim. Tim’s favorite drink was a White Russian and Nathan has posted the recipe on his blog for those that would like to be part of this.
David Leedy, Chris Toohey, and Jesse Gallagher are conducting a Memorial on Sunday in Eastern Pennsylvania for anyone local to that area.
There have been a great many humbling tributes paid to Tim over the past few days. We will explore ways in which we put these together in a meaningful way . We would also welcome your ideas on how we might respond to turn the tragedy of his death into something positive for the community to which he gave so much.
