Modern Domino: Android 4.4 (KitKat)

Late last week Google announced the availability of the latest version of its mobile operating system Android 4.4 aka KitKat. Android is now the dominant mobile OS and in this release we see a number of subtle UI changes that hold be considered when developing mobile applications. The following is a summary of some of those changes.
